Show Stoppers
The focus of Showstoppers is dramatic play, creative movement, pretending, singing, imaginative thinking, dancing, role play, and socialization. Goals:
- Help develop a basic understanding and appreciation for creative movement, dramatic play and pretending
- Help develop self-confidence and the ability to perform in front of an audience
- Help develop creative thinking skills and expressive communication abilities
- Help develop an understanding of what teamwork means and how to be a team player
- Help develop singing and dancing skills
Sample Activities include music and movement activities, role playing games, theatre games, singing, storytelling, voice projection, dancing, basic character development through costuming and make-up, stage performance and team building games. Other program features:
- Take home family enrichment information
- Use of costumes, props, scenery and stage sets
- Learning basic theatre vocabulary
- Campfire story time at the end of each class
- Public performance and cast party at the end of each session
